Let’s Do Business(TM) in Primary Careers

Let’s Do Business in Primary Careers is a brand-new whole-school programme and package of resources to enable Primary teachers to provide excellent Careers-related learning and inspire, inform, and empower pupils from EYFS through to Year 6. The programme and resources are designed to:

 

  • Broaden aspirations by showcasing a diverse set of roles and industries.

  • · Build career awareness at an early age through fun, factual, and interactive learning.

  • Connect classroom learning to the real world, helping students see the value and application of their education.

  • Develop essential employability skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, and creativity.

  • Foster self-reflection and confidence, encouraging students to identify their strengths and interests.

  • Highlight Career opportunities and link them to the national curriculum.

  • Prepare pupils for transition to Secondary and Further Education by introducing subjects and qualifications including Apprenticeships and ‘T’ Levels

  • Highlight ways to involve employers and external organisations.

In this first phase of the launch of Let’s Do Business in Primary Careers, we’re pleased to give you free resources for the Healthcare Sector Insight and a Career Insight for a Nutritionist.

Another 26 Sectors Insights and 103 Career Insights are available now to purchase from our shop.

The rest of the resources will be available from mid-September, so we’ll contact you again before the end of this term with more information and another free resource.

New Primary Careers Award

We’re currently finalising a new award for accreditation by the national Quality in Careers Consortium to be available next term. Let’s Do Business in Primary Careers will support achievement of this award. We’ll update you on this too next month.
